RAER Scotch Whisky are a young, independent, family-owned business located 20 minutes south of Glasgow at Jackton Distillery. The distillery was previously operating as the family’s farm before they filled their first cask in February 2020 and have since seen the release of an award-winning, handcrafted spirit range. They are incredibly proud to have released four exquisite whiskies since their 2020 start. Two of these remarkable whiskies have been honoured with the prestigious Gold award for Best Blended Scotch at the Scottish Whisky Awards, 2022 & 2023, winning back-to-back accolades. In 2023, the distillery proudly expanded its range of exceptional gins by taking on a second brand, ‘Something Blue ‘. Something Blue stands out as the world’s first-ever ‘Wedding Gin’ , distinguished by its unique natural blue colouring, making it a perfect choice in honour of the famous Poem ‘Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue’. On top of extending their gin range, in 2022, RAER shook hands with the prestigious Château de Chambord, creating the RAER Alliance, making Jackton Distillery, the only distillery in the world, able to finish their whisky and gin in Chambord’s casks, which are intricately made from the oak trees at Chambord, and are then cut down and left to air dry for many years in the Chambord forest. They have now released the exclusive RAER ALLIANCE CHAMBORD range made up of CHAMBORD CASK SCOTCH and CHAMBORD CASK GIN. Jackton Distillery is committed to sustainability and is making significant strides toward reducing its environmental impact. By recycling grain from production back to local farms, they ensure nothing goes to waste. Additionally, they are dedicated to growing their own barley and are on the trial stages of their on-site malting plant, enabling them to cut down on carbon emissions and maintain a fully in-house production process. These efforts underscore the distillery’s dedication to creating exceptional spirits while prioritising environmental responsibility.
