With The Scottish Wedding Show only just a day away, we've put together our top five reasons to visit the show this weekend:

1.     The furry friends are back

Last year’s popular furry friends, Teddy, Blondie and Valentino are returning to The Scottish Wedding Show this weekend.

Alpacas are a must-have trend for 2019 with couples looking to impress their guests with the cute, cuddly animals on their big day. As well as being a perfect picture opportunity, alpacas help with stress and anxiety – which is perfect for brides with cold feet.

2.     Wedding style inspiration with David’s Bridal

For the third year running, The Scottish Wedding Show is delighted to partner with David’s Bridal. The world’s largest bridal retailer will be on hand with a selection of stunning gowns offering specialist styling advice, helping brides-to-be find their dream dress. The glamorous live Catwalk Fashion Show will also showcase the finest bridal couture from Angelique Lamont, Reeta’s Fashions and many more. Guests can take their seats at a number of shows over the weekend for a glimpse at the gowns on offer, with bridesmaid dresses, groomswear, mother of the bride outfits and a selection of looks for flower girls and page boys taking to the stage.

3.     Enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two…

For those making a day of it, visitors can toast their big day with a tipple or two at the Cocktail Bar by Manorview Hotels.  Guests with VIP tickets can also take advantage of fast track entry, priority seating at the catwalk shows, a money off voucher to use in the Cocktail Bar and exclusive access to the luxurious VIP lounge – where they’ll also receive a complimentary glass of fizz.

4.     Bubbles and Brunch

The brunch area is back this year and is the perfect escape for brides, grooms and their family and friends to take some time out of wedding planning and enjoy an all-day brunch, complete with mimosas!

5.     Creative cake inspiration

Marie-Clare Cake Designs is returning to the Scottish Wedding Show with her stunning masterpieces. This year’s theme is ‘everything is not what it seems’ and features a tea set entirely made of cake. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it!
